Your AI cohort assistant. It grades, nudges, and tells you who's at risk — so you stay the teacher, not the operator.

CohortAide handles the operational work that makes cohorts hard: drafting feedback on student submissions, spotting disengagement before it becomes drop-off, sending the right nudge at the right time, and giving you a weekly view of where every student stands. Built for solo experts running 20–100 person cohorts. Not a platform — a workbench.

01

You see who's drifting before they disappear.

Cohorts lose students quietly. Someone misses one assignment, then two, then they're gone — and you find out in week 6. CohortAide surfaces engagement drops the day they happen. Nudges go out in your voice, with your context. You stay connected to every student without doing the chasing.

02

Grading at cohort scale, without the burnout.

50 student submissions per assignment is a weekend lost — 8 to 10 hours of typing the same kinds of feedback for the tenth time. CohortAide drafts feedback per submission against your rubric, in your voice. You review, edit, and send. Most instructors cut grading time by 70%+ — and the feedback students get is more specific, not less.

03

The Monday digest that actually matters.

Every Monday, one email: who's behind, who's thriving, what needs your attention this week. No dashboards to log into. No reports to run. The work surfaces itself.

How it works

Three steps, then it runs.

1

You import your cohort once.

Upload a CSV of student names and emails. Set your rubric for assignments. That's the setup. About 10 minutes per cohort.

2

CohortAide watches the cohort.

As students submit work, miss deadlines, or go quiet, the AI tracks the signals. It drafts grading feedback against your rubric the moment a submission arrives. It flags students whose engagement is dropping before they ghost. It composes nudges for students who need a check-in.

3

You review and send.

Every morning, you get a queue of pending items: feedback drafts to approve, nudges to send, risk flags to act on. Edit anything that needs your voice. Approve in bulk for routine items. The AI never sends without you.

Capabilities

What CohortAide does

Four jobs, scoped tightly. Every output is a draft. Nothing sends without your approval.

01

Engagement detection.

Automatic flagging when a student misses two assignments, hasn't logged in for 7 days, or stops participating.

02

Drafted submission feedback.

Drop in a rubric. Submit student work. Get draft feedback to review and send. Editable, not autopilot.

03

Automated student nudges.

Pre-built nudge templates ("missed deadline," "haven’t started," "great progress, keep going") that send in your voice. You set the rules; the tool runs them.

04

Weekly instructor digest.

Monday-morning email summarizing the cohort: who needs attention, who's at risk, who's done well.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

I'm not running cohorts yet — is this for me?

Probably not yet. CohortAide shines when you're running cohorts of 20+ students and feeling the operational drag. If you're still in your first cohort or running 5-person beta groups, the existing free tools work fine. Come back when it hurts.

How is this different from Maven, Disco, or Skool?

Those are platforms — you build your whole business inside them. CohortAide is a tool that runs alongside whatever platform you already use (Notion, Slack, Circle, Discord, your own website). We don't replace your community or your course delivery. We handle the operational work between cohorts: tracking, nudging, grading, weekly visibility.

Do my students need to create an account?

No. Students never log into CohortAide. They submit assignments via a unique email link, receive nudges in their inbox, and continue using whatever course platform you already have for everything else. You're the only person with a CohortAide login. Less friction for them, less complexity for you.

What does the AI actually do? I don't want a generic chatbot.

Three specific jobs, all editable: drafting feedback on student submissions against your rubric, detecting engagement drops from existing data, and generating personalized nudge messages. Every output is a draft for you to review. Nothing sends without your approval.

Why not just paste student work into ChatGPT?

You can — and many instructors do. Two differences. First, ChatGPT doesn’t remember your rubric, your cohort, or your voice from session to session. You re-prompt every time. Second, ChatGPT can’t watch for disengagement, queue nudges, or surface the at-risk student before week 6. CohortAide does the parts of the job that aren’t “rewrite this paragraph” — the parts a chat interface structurally can’t do.

What if my cohort lives on Discord, Slack, Circle, or Notion?

CohortAide runs alongside those tools. v1 setup takes about 10 minutes: import your student roster as a CSV (we provide the template), set your rubric, and connect your email sender. Students continue using whatever course platform you already have — they receive CohortAide emails in their inbox, nothing new to learn. Direct integrations with Discord, Slack, Circle, and Notion are on the roadmap and prioritized by what founding members ask for.

When does it launch?

We're targeting Q3 2026 for v1. Founding members get early access in waves and help shape the roadmap.
